When Addie and her husband moved back to Winnipeg after a stint up North, Addie decided to take a course in Business Administration. One of the requirements in her subject was to research a small business. This is what sparked her idea on opening a decorating centre in the small town of Selkirk.

Since 1993, Addie’s World of Color has become a well established business serving Selkirk and surrounding areas from Winnipeg to the Interlake to the Beaches and beyond for over 24 years. Our focus is residential and commercial decorating.

Addie and her staff are professional, knowledgeable, focussed and friendly. We listen to our clients and integrate our experience with your wants, desires, and decorating dreams. We are constantly training, learning, and upgrading our knowledge to ensure the right solutions are found and decisions made.
People who come to Addie’s trust our recommendations and keep coming back. We have a steady and loyal clientele. Since we opened, our employees have decorated 3 generations of family homes. Our loyalty and commitment is to our clients.

FOUNDER

Addie has owned and operated Addie’s World of Color since 1993. Her vast knowledge of interior…

…and exterior decor solutions span the Interlake, Lac Du Bonnet, Selkirk, Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Addie has created extraordinary spaces working with three generations of clients, as well as a large percentage of referrals, exceeding their expectations by customizing living and work spaces to suit their personality and needs. From classic to traditional, contemporary, and eclectic, to keeping up with the latest trends, Addie has the experience and eye to help you. Addie really enjoys working with customers on a daily basis and feels that they become part of an Addie’s World of Color family because of how personal the experiences are.

MAIZELLE
INTERIOR DECORATOR

With a passion for Interior Design, Maizelle decided to take an evening Home Decorating course at…

…Red River College and received her certificate in May of 2003 for Interior Decorating. She started working for Addie’s World of Color in her home town of Selkirk, Manitoba in September 2005. She thoroughly enjoys helping clients with decisions on paint colours and window treatments.  One of the highlights of working at Addie’s is being able to have a one-on-one In-Home Consultation with any clients who require that extra assistance in decorating their home.
She offers great advice and input for any project.

Brenda

BRENDA
COLOUR CONSULTANT

Brenda’s first Part-time job was working in the paint department in a Winnipeg store, which is…

…where her passion for colour and design began. She received her Certification of Interior Decorating in 1992 from Red River Community College and began working for Addie’s World of Color in 2016 where Brenda has quickly become a vital part of our team. She received the Hunter Douglas Product Consultant Certificate in the summer of 2017. She loves collaborating with clients to help bring their vision to reality.
